Córdoba seeks strategic allies to structure the solar farm project

The Government of Córdoba is looking for companies interested in partnering, to structure and develop a solar energy farm that allows this renewable source to be injected into the network and positively impact rates for vulnerable users of the department, confirmed Rosa Pastrana Argumedo, Secretary of Mines and Energy of Córdoba.

The initiative, proposed by Governor Erasmo Zuleta, seeks “a beneficial project” where energy costs can be “reduced, either through an exchange on tariff debt issues, or by injecting energy into the interconnected system to lower the tariff paid by families from vulnerable strata.

The project will be designed by an expert firm that will eventually reveal the technical details of the solar farm, such as its capacity generation and estimated cost of the investment, but it is already being pointed out as a public-private alliance.

The official indicated that the goal is “to be able to have a public-private farm where that energy can be injected into the network and that we can seek a benefit for the communities in terms of reducing those high rates that are affecting all strata.”

Córdoba led the awarding of photovoltaic solar energy projects in the last national auction, Therefore, it has an attractive portfolio for potential investors.

“We believe and aim that with this project we can benefit all communities,” said the Secretary of Mines and Energy.
