“The dairy is part of one of the most important value chains in Santa Fe”

“It is very important to hold an international dairy training day that will be held in Rafaela, in the Castellano department, given that Santa Fe represents the main milk producer in the country, and this region constitutes the dairy basin. par excellence of our province” was stated by Gustavo Puccini, Minister of Productive Development of the government headed by Maximiliano Pullaro.

For the Ministry of Productive Development, “dairy is part of one of the most important value chains in our province.”

For this reason “we put a dairy directorate within the structure of the ministry so that there is a directorate in charge of working with the entire sector.”

The first productive table convened a week after taking office on December 10 “was precisely the dairy table, so that all actors can have the institutional space with the Ministry of Productive Development and put together a roadmap to work for all the issues that the sector has to fundamentally gain competitiveness. One of the tools that we made available are the credit tools, the financing lines, in this sense the first five months of the 6,000 million pesos that have already been taken out in credit, more than 50-60% were taken by the dairy” remarked the provincial official.

And he added “we have participated in an important fair that is Todo Láctea in the province of Córdoba, in the city of San Francisco, where we accompanied companies that went to exhibit there. We also have the most aggressive credit lines of the Expo, reaching a rate of 20%, we took a group of 1,000 million pesos and they were taken for 2,000 million, which we also obviously approved. And the commitment of this ministry is to continue working at this productive table, in technical tables that meet monthly to strengthen the chain.”

“Training is also being carried out, work is being done with the science and technology team, and also in terms of infrastructure, the program today called Productive Roads has as a priority the repair of dirt roads where there are dairy farms. So much so that the first announcement that our government made, for more than 2,500 million pesos, of the 8,000 million that are going to be invested in this first stage in productive roads, the priority goes to the dairy industry and we have announced the outline of a bi-departmental corridor that connects the Castilian department with the department of San Cristóbal, 62 kilometers where the main dairy basin is located.

The commitment is to “continue working for the development of the dairy farms, promoting roots, also providing infrastructure, technology and continuing to promote this chain, which is one of the most important that the province has. It has been placed within the productive cabinet within the framework of the central region, also as one of the work tables that was held in the city of Armstrong, the first work table had the topics of dairy, meat and grains, agricultural machinery and that also demonstrates the interest in working on this production within the framework of the central region,” he concluded.
