The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, reiterated this Tuesday the need to join forces to stop the massacre perpetrated by the Zionist state of Israel against the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.

In a meeting with young Americans, at the Palace of the Revolution (headquarters of the Executive), the president recalled that this Arab country has been subjected to a process of gradual extermination for more than 70 years, which has now intensified.

He affirmed that Israel acts with total disregard for the lives of the Palestinian population and with high doses of evil, perversity, supported by the United States and other powers.

Never before in the world, in such a few months, have so many people died, he emphasized, while affirming that good people must be hurt every day that something is not done to stop this massacre.

In Palestine today human dignity is defended, and it is defined who truly wants a better world and who does not want that better world, but rather a world where they reign with their contempt for others, he noted.

He expressed that in his opinion many people in the world have begun to realize the true nuances of this situation and, in this sense, he thanked young Americans for their denunciations against the Israeli genocide.

At the beginning of the meeting, the president expressed his admiration for those present, who – he said – have contributed to generating a social and political movement, which from the vision of the Cuban Revolution represents the feelings of justice of North American society.

At the meeting, the young Palestinian Celine Qussiny, who lives in the North American state of California, highlighted the example of Cuba and its defense of a system designed based on its population, and affirmed that they are committed to safeguarding the Cuban Revolution as a strategy. of struggle to achieve the liberation of other peoples.

The more than 100 members of the International People’s Assembly, mostly Americans, expressed their opinions, obtained during their tour of the island and in direct contact with the population.

Manolo de los Santos, president of the organization The People’s Forum, thanked the people of Cuba for the welcome and solidarity with them and the rest of the world

It has been an intense week, which allowed us to learn about the ability of Cubans to talk about all topics, including those of democracy, human rights, economy, philosophy, culture, he said.

He highlighted the irony of being received by a foreign president when they have been mobilized in their country for weeks demanding, without success, that the American president listen to them.
