The sales, employability and marketing records reflect the excellent reception that the entrepreneurs supported by the municipal administration had, their brands were widely recognized and had great acceptance at the most important fair in the region.
American Fest is considered the great fair of the year, receiving 130,000 visitors, a record for the event. More than 54 entrepreneurs from Cúcuta, supported by the municipal administration, participated, benefiting from an important commercial showcase.
“Thank you to the mayor of Cúcuta for opening these spaces that motivate us to continue with our ventures in times of crisis and help us reactivate the economy of the region, thank you for supporting the city’s entrepreneurs, our region brand and thank you for purchasing our natural products that are a regional benchmark,” said Diana Rodríguez, creator of Anágena, a line of natural hair care products.
For five days, microentrepreneurs from the fashion, gastronomy and crafts sectors, supported by the mayor’s office, sold around 800 products, generating sales of approximately 78 million pesos, and creating nearly 300 direct jobs and more than 150 indirect jobs, strengthening significantly the cucuteño economy.
“These types of events are essential for our city, as they boost the economy. For this reason, the Mayor’s Office of San José de Cúcuta and its team called on 54 local entrepreneurs and businessmen to show and sell their products. It is our duty to support them. Thank you all for your participation,” concluded Javier Chaves, Secretary of Banco del Progreso of Cúcuta.
For the municipal Administration, it is important to continue opening these spaces for participation with strategic alliances that strengthen entrepreneurs and allow them to make visible and enhance the region’s products at a local, national and international level.
