Young people, from 18 years old, and interested adults will be summoned and registered by municipalities of the Southern Line to train them as home gas technicians, establishing as a requirement that they have a secondary degree.

The proposal is related to the recent inauguration of the Southern Region gas pipeline and the need to have registered gas operators in the area.

For this reason, the Ministry of Education and Human Rights of Río Negro signed a framework collaboration agreement with the municipalities of Sierra Colorada and Ramos Mexia for the start of courses aimed at training home gas technicians.

The agreement was signed by Minister Patricia Campos, together with the mayor of Sierra Colorada, Marta Ignacio, and the mayor of Minister Ramos Mexía, Nelson Quinteros.

“These agreements arise taking into account that, this year, the Southern Region Gas Pipeline was inaugurated, a work that allowed families and institutions to have access to the natural gas network. In this framework, the need arises to train qualified professionals who can meet the demand of the population, which will also contribute to the local economy with the generation of genuine jobs,” an official statement explained.

The Directorate of Technical Education and Vocational Training will be in charge of pedagogical coordination and administrative aspects related to educational training, while the municipality will provide the necessary inputs and tools to guarantee the practical training of the educational path.

Registration will be carried out by each municipality, calling for young people from 18 years of age and interested adults, establishing a requirement to have a secondary degree.
