The official visit to Moscow of the Antillean minister responds to the invitations made by Lavrov in his tours of Havana in 2023 and 2024, and occurs after the participation of the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, in the commemoration events for the 79 anniversary of the victory of the Soviets over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War, on May 9, when he was also received by his counterpart Vladimir Putin.
