These are the times and concentration points of the Fecode marches this Wednesday, June 12 in Bogotá

Given the crisis in the health care of teachers, the educational reform and the lack of attention by the Government of the president, Gustavo Petro, to the requests of the teachers, the Colombian Federation of Education Workers (Fecode) announced that there will be a national strike this Wednesday, June 12.

The main reason is the rejection of the draft statutory education law that is about to be approved in Congress, so the strike will be indefinite and Fecode calls on all its subsidiaries “to reject the Draft Statutory Law on education and in defense of the teaching health model. “Let’s all take to the streets to defend public education and our rights!” says information sent by the union.

The place where the rally will take place will be the CAD on Carrera 30 and Calle 26 to Plaza de Bolívar.

“Fecode calls on the Senate of the Republic and the House of Representatives, the social, popular, cultural, environmental, academic, indigenous movement, peasants, students, universities and others, to close ranks to defend Colombian Public Education as a common good and fundamental right, the same that must be free, universal, attended to, guaranteed and administered directly by the State“, highlighted from Fecode.

They warned that the project reconciled by the different benches in the First Permanent Constitutional Commission of the Senate of the Republic, on June 5, “does not correspond with the agreements signed between the national government and Fecode.
