Investigations carried out by the Specialized Directorate against Drug Trafficking they found the capture of David Ricardo Tromp, an alleged criminal accused of organizing a criminal network responsible for sending cocaine to Europe and Asia.

Evidence material in the possession of the Prosecutor’s Office shows that Tromp, also known by the alias Toyaco, would be contacting people on the Caribbean coast to send shipments of narcotics from the Cartagena airport.

Their modus operandi would be focused on hiding the packages of cocaine in travelers’ luggage and belongings, and then convincing them to reach international destinations.

The Prosecutor’s Office assures that among alias Toyayo’s offers was to provide them lodging, transportation, international permits and air tickets.

Likewise, the investigating entity indicates that his criminal actions began at least seven years ago.

​”The evidence shows that he would be involved in the shipment of 18 kilograms of cocainewhich were seized from a traveler at the Rafael Núñez airport in Cartagena, in July 2018,” the Prosecutor’s Office noted.

David Ricardo Tromp was placed before a guarantee control judge and was charged with the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics. The defendant accepted the charge.
