CAMAGÜEY.- The importance of the grassroots committees, the work of the cadres as identifiers of the concerns of young people and their needs, as well as the support in their development, and the updated strategy to strengthen the functioning of the organization, were points key in the Plenary Session of the Provincial Committee of the Union of Young Communists (UJC), held this Thursday.

The meeting chaired by the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province, Federico Hernández Hernández; the member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party, Roberto Conde Silverio; the member of the National Bureau of the UJC, Leonardo Rodríguez Gonzáles, and the secretary of the organization in the territory Heinier Lian Carvajo Baxter, along with other officials: confirmed the relevance of the work of young people and their actions in times of economic crisis.

At the beginning of the day, Hernández Hernández called for understanding the historical moment, the political, economic and social state of the territory, as well as the complex electro-energy situation and its consequences, and coined “yes we can” as the guiding premise of Cuban youth.

On the other hand, the secretaries of the grassroots committees of the Camagüey municipalities shared ideas about the path that the youth union is taking. In this way, Juan Carlos Blanco Lores, secretary of the grassroots committee of the municipality of Camagüey, referred to the need for immediate results, through the correct preparation of the cadre to strengthen leadership capacities in the present, which is when it is most important. needs.

Laura Mariam Bacallao Padrón, general secretary of the UJC committee of the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz University, also emphasized the role of the house of higher studies to link young people to scientific research and innovation, as fundamental pillars in the country’s economy, He also pointed out the timely approach to the boys from the Student Federation with talks that motivate them to create.

The updating of the strategy to achieve a better organization constitutes valuable progress, with the cadres as the center of said tactic, which aims to insert new militants with the mission of combating social problems and the implementation of projects that improve the economy in the Island. Strategy that is not an invariable scheme, but a manual for members that facilitates their work within the Union; highlighted Leonardo Rodríguez Gonzáles, member of the National Bureau of the UJC.

Likewise, youth movements impact those who have not yet joined the ranks of the organization. Dania Díaz Socarrás, president of the Martí Youth Movements, pointed out the formative role of the activities they promote and the integration between both alliances to strengthen the revolutionary ideology and the impetus for change.

With words of pride and a positive assessment of the strategy, Roberto Conde concluded the meeting, and insisted on the importance of knowing who it is intended for, a task for the grassroots committees in the province, leaders of a heterogeneous youth, who in turn constitute vanguard and mobilization, recalled Conde Silverio.
