The governor of Antioquia, Andrés Julián Rendón took advantage of his intervention at the 2024 Infrastructure Meeting to reiterate the importance of the José María Córdova international airport have a second lead, and ventured to launch a proposal to buy time.

The departmental leader criticized that this project did not make progress during the presidency of Iván Duque, nor in that of Juan Manuel Santos, who even declared the first area of public utility. In turn, regarding what Gustavo Petro will do, he noted that “we can’t expect much either.”

During the event, the scope of the Road Plan included in the Departmental Development Plan was presented, which will have an investment close to 10.1 billion pesos, with an approximate intervention of 3,581 kilometers, the construction of 1,040 kilometers and the maintenance of 5,000 more secondary roads. In addition, maintenance of 10,000 km and construction of 500 km of tertiary roads will be carried out.
