To be part of a compensation fund, independent Colombians, contractors, pensioners or employees can advance the affiliation process to those in charge of providing social and welfare services to people and their families.
In them you can immediately enjoy the services offered by the entity and benefits in health, education, recreation, culture, housing and credit.
According to the Ministry of Labor, in Colombia there are 45 compensation funds and those with the largest number of members are Colsubsidio, Cafam and Compensar.
Among the benefits you can access are health services, since the funds have agreements with EPS (Health Promotion Entities). For example, Cafam has alliances with Famisanar and Nueva EPS, allowing members to schedule appointments and view laboratory results.
In the case of discounts, there are promotions for tourism, savings on travel and in hotels from the compensation fund.
Other benefits that serve to save are the subsidies that compensation funds have. For example, they offer a housing subsidy of up to 39 million pesos for those members who do not have income greater than four current legal minimum wages.
And in the case of losing your job, they provide an unemployment benefit of 1,950,000 pesos in case you are unemployed.
Also in the training are language courses, beauty, embroidery or decoration, technology, among others, in the portfolio.
