The Financial Information Unit promotes new work spaces together with the private sector in order to operationally agree on the cooperation necessary to strengthen the preventive role of the Agency and its obligated subjects.

During the meeting, common problems in the sector were addressed and the bases were laid for the exchange of future proposals for improvements to the AML/CT/FP system. The FIU authorities placed special emphasis on the need for a fluid exchange with the representative chambers of the sector, who have specific knowledge of the activity, to, among other aspects, evaluate proposals for possible modifications that lead to the effective implementation of a framework. regulatory adapted to the modifications of Law 25,246, incorporated after the approval of Law 27,739.

Present on behalf of the Organization were the president, Ignacio Yacobucci, the vice president, Manuel Tessio and the directors of Supervision, Alberto Mendoza, of International Coordination, Mariana Currais, and of Administration and Resource Management, Juan Manuel Jara.

Representatives of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA) attended the meeting; from the Association of Banks of Argentina (ABA), from the Specialized Banking Association (ABE); of the Association of Argentine Banks (ADEBA) and the Association of Public and Private Banks of the Argentine Republic (ABAPPRA).
