Within this framework, different agreements were reached, which allow maintaining some of the practices that are currently carried out and modifying others. The reform project has already begun the corresponding legal process, and will come into force soon.

The objective of these changes is to speed up the time, if an intervention is initiated, and to strengthen the articulation between the organizations, always having as its main purpose the protection of boys and girls.

The protocol includes, among other issues, that inspections by the Ministry of Labor can activate said protocol and coordinate assistance. In the case of child labor, a criminal complaint will be filed and the continuity of the judicial process will be guaranteed.

Likewise, police presence will be required initially, and SENAF will address the situation, and then present action reports, coordinating assistance with Health, Education, Human Development and Migration, as necessary.

The Ministry of Labor, for its part, will apply labor regulations to employers who fail to comply with the prohibition of child labor, and the CETI will keep records of child labor cases and adolescent work permits updated.

The Provincial Government understands that child labor is a complex social problem that cannot be addressed by a single area of government.

If you know of any possible case of child labor, you can make a report through the toll-free line 0800-333-4247, or at the Zonal Labor Delegations.
