The house where the new Lardero medical office is planned to be built has been demolished

New steps towards the construction of a new medical office in Lardero. After the acquisition months ago of a property for 457,963 euros (VAT included), this week the building that contained the land was demolished in order to leave the area open. space. After having approved weeks ago in plenary session the specific modification of the General Municipal Plan to change the use of the land from residential to residential, the local government board recently awarded the work of demolition of the house that occupied the land purchased through public bidding, located at the confluence of El Puerto Street, San Marcial Avenue and Camino Viejo de Logroño, and where the new Lardero medical office is planned to be built.

In 2023, the Lardera Town Council put out to tender, with a base of half a million euros, the acquisition of plots “intended for municipal equipment” to expand the heritage, with the condition that the properties had to be located within the diamond formed by the House of Culture, the church of San Pedro and the CEIP Eduardo González Gallarza, with a minimum of 2,400 square meters. Then there was only one offer submitted and the acquisition of the property was awarded, whose building has now been demolished, after remaining uninhabited and disused for decades.

Currently, the Lardero (PP) government team is working on being able to put out to tender this year the drafting of the construction project, and in 2025, the work to begin the construction of the new medical office, which is planned with underground parking and three heights of which, in principle, only one will be occupied. Of course, the medical office, for the moment, will continue to depend on the Alberite Basic Health Zone.
