The Mayor’s Office of Valledupar, through the Secretariat of Economic Development, favored 40 small and medium-sized companies with the production, marketing and financing of their productive projects, an initiative that had the support of the Valledupar Chamber of Commerce and coordinating axes such as Innpulsa and CEmprende.

In this same process, it was comprehensively complemented with spaces for training, identification, identity creation and support in the different forms of company consolidation.

Regarding the benefits of this initiative, entrepreneurs such as María Lucía Pérez Hernández, owner of a crafts company, recognized: “My business has been a beautiful venture that today became a consolidated company, thanks to the help of all the people who collaborated, especially the Mayor’s Office of Valledupar. Not only did they train us, they also helped us with important resources and, most importantly, strengthen us as entrepreneurs and be able to generate spaces for employability, this was what we needed.”

For the growth of business dynamics, greater efforts are made by the Municipal Administration to provide guarantees to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, who seek a comprehensive constitution of their commercial initiatives.

In the midst of the delivery of these benefits, Mayor Ernesto Orozco Durán assured: “This is the boost that the projects of our small businessmen in Valledupar need, accompanied by the commitment to generate employment in our city from a legal perspective, we have many projects that “They will benefit the owners of legally constituted MSMEs.”

The main objective with these projects is to improve business competitiveness indices with technical and commercial support for MSMEs throughout the municipality.

“It is an effort that will benefit not only us small business owners, but also the support and growth of our economy and expand the coverage of services throughout the region,” said José Guillermo Orozco, owner of a commercial establishment.

Finally, as part of the process, the Secretariat of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism will carry out institutional monitoring of the production activities carried out by the beneficiaries in this program.
