The Attorney General’s Office required Cesar authorities to take immediate action in response to the increase in homicides, robberies, kidnappings and extortions in the department.

The Public Ministry reported that it has asked the aforementioned officials “to manage the Security councils in order to strengthen the articulation of the actions of the different institutions and, finally, deploy operations at the regional, local and departmental level in matters of security”.

In that sense, the Regional Cesar of the Attorney General’s Office requested “the participation of the municipal authorities taking into account the provisions of article 277 of the Political Constitution and decree 1851 of 2021.”
