Important results for Cesar at the ‘Governors’ Summit’ held in Monteria

Important results for Cesar at this Governors’ Summit held in Montería. Governor Elvia Milena Sanjuán achieved:

✅ National Director of Police, William René Salamanca, commits to an increase in force for the south of Cesar, as requested by the governor

✅ Director of the Police will bring to a table with the Prosecutor’s Office the different incidents of insecurity that affect the central-southern region of Cesar

✅ Governor mentioned the results of the Valledupar Metropolitan Police and at the same time asked General Salamanca to create a common fund, involving Municipalities, to improve police stations. Government has already improved and built stations

✅ Governor requested the Minister of Transportation, William Camargo Triana, for a technical table to analyze the financial closure of the @setpvalledupar, which is a model in intermediate cities in Colombia, given that today’s problems make the Stability Fund very high

✅ The governor also asked Minister Camargo Triana that with her team she could define whether it is through the Cesar-Guajira Pact, or another vehicle, the financing of the sections that are already established in her office and that correspond to the Road Plan that Cesar is coming working for 10 years

✅ Governor asked the National Unit for Risk Management and Ideam for institutional support so that our farmers are alerted in time and thus maintain the projection of success of investments in their crops, in the face of climate variation

✅ It was a call from the governor, Elvia Milena Sanjuán, to consolidate the Just Transition model of the Productive and Labor Force for the municipalities of the Corridor of Life, a special request made to the Ministry of Mines and Energy
