The Minister of Economic Development, Guillermo Bernaudo, participated in the plenary meeting of the Federal Council of the Knowledge Economy (Confec), in Buenos Aires. There he listed the guidelines that guide the management to encourage, promote and sustain this field of economic development in Entre Ríos.

The Confec is an institutional area that, convened by the SME, Entrepreneurs and Knowledge Economy Secretariat of the Nation, brings together national and provincial authorities in a collaborative space for work, exchange and learning in order to continue stimulating all the sectors that do to the universe of the knowledge economy with a federal spirit.

Within the framework of the plenary, Each province spoke about the situation of the Knowledge Economy sector and the great opportunity for being a sector that maintains very high growth rates in the country.; with a value close to 9 percent of GDP.

Strategies were outlined aimed at strengthening, internationalization and generating employment in companies that incorporate knowledge into their products and services in each of the country’s jurisdictions.

Besides, The formation of thematic commissions was established to address issues such as the complementarity of the provincial laws of the Knowledge Economy with the national Law.the incorporation and development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the training of talent.

Within this framework, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship participated for the first time in this space, with the purpose of generating bridges and presenting initiatives that facilitate the internationalization and export of SMEs and entrepreneurs.

According to specialists, For this year, an increase of between 12,000 and 14,000 skilled and well-paid jobs in the knowledge economy sector is estimated.

Minister Bernaudo, who participated alongside the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation, Walter Sione, and the Director of the Knowledge Economy, Matías Ruiz, highlighted the importance of the sector and the future prospects. Entre Ríos officials listed the guidelines that guide management to encourage, promote and sustain this field of economic development in the province.

In this framework, Bernaudo stressed that, within the organizational chart of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, a specific Directorate for the Knowledge Economy was created with an agenda linked to collaborating with the promotion and institutionality of the sector.

On the other hand, he also highlighted that “we are currently working with the legislative chambers on the reform of a provincial regime for the promotion of the knowledge economy that offers tax benefits to companies in the sector.”

“This branch of the Economy takes on another relevant significance because there is a large number of developers who are very young people, which results in more and better work for this age group, in addition to sowing the seed of continuity in the future,” he concluded. the minister
