National Route 22 was the scene of a shocking chase of almost 90 kilometers that began in Plottier and ended in Cutral Co. The incident occurred after 11 p.m. on Friday when four men aboard a car escaped from a traffic stop and after evading several jurisdictions, ended up being shot at in the oil town. The four were detained, one of them shot in the leg.
“We have no records of such an operation”said in dialogue with Diario RÍO NEGRO, Inspector Commissioner Héctor Pérez, deputy director of Cutral Co. Internal Security. There were more than 90 kilometers of pursuit involving personnel from Plottier, Senillosa, Plaza Huincul and Cutral Co.
According to details, the men managed to be detained on the street Chaliol at 500, but previously they clashed with the police at the Plaza Huincul service station.
“They entered the parking lot from the road at full speed and with a dangerous action, there they began to shoot at the cell phones.”detailed and highlighted that “One officer was injured and two cell phones were damaged.”
The subjects were identified as Ramiro Navarrete (22), Alexis Morales (20), Jorge Zuñiga (32) and Santiago González (19).
Regulatory pistols and shotguns were drawn to respond to the attack of the escapees.
Three were injured in the chase. Two of them were occupants of the vehicle and the third was a police officer.
One of the detainees has a gunshot wound to the leg and the other has abrasions. The police officer, meanwhile, has wounds on one hand, also compatible with a firearm.
At the scene, a Beretta 9mm pistol was seized, which was used against the uniformed officers.
