The Santa Marta Metropolitan Police, through the Surveillance Patrols, managed to capture a 44-year-old man in flagrante delicto for the crime of illegal restraint.
The captured person would be allegedly responsible for arriving at a commercial establishment in the Bastidas sector and threatening the owner, telling him that “he had to close the establishment and that he already had a fine for having the business open and not complying with the strike, and that he “he would bear the consequences.”
Immediately, the victim informed the authorities what happened and, through a search and location plan with the provided characteristics, this person was intercepted in the same sector, being recognized by several local merchants.
The captured person posed as a member of the “Conquering Self-Defense Forces of the Sierra Nevada” and stated that the commercial establishments should close.
This person was placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, where concentrated hearings are expected that will define his judicial situation.
