Coyhaique.- Today, Saturday at noon, three defendants were formalized, two of them minors, who kidnapped a victim in Coyhaique and at the same time violently assaulted a second person in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 12 of this year.
The subjects, aged 20, 17 and 16, were detained by Carabineros personnel from the First Police Station, while subsequent investigative procedures and expertise were requested by the Public Ministry from the Robbery Investigative Brigade and the Criminalistics Laboratory of the PDI. .
FACTS
As explained in the formalization hearing by the assistant lawyer of the Coyhaique Local Prosecutor’s Office, Sebastián Vildósola, in the company of the chief prosecutor of Coyhaique, José Moris, the defendants kidnapped a first victim, the driver of a mobile application, around 6:15 p.m. in the vicinity of Calle 1 and Divisadero, pointing guns at his head, while they were traveling in the vehicle through different streets of the city.
Around 6:50 p.m., the defendants went to Cañete Street and Los Cipreses Street in Coyhaique, where the subjects approached a second victim whom they hit with the guns on his head, forcing him to get into a second vehicle, with the defendants inside. . The victim is kept in the car under threat and after being searched, his wallet with cash and a bank card is stolen.
Then the victim of this crime is transferred to the car of the driver of the mobile application, who had been kidnapped and both victims are taken through different streets of Coyhaique, including the upper sector of Coyhaique, Tejas Verdes, Las Bandurrias and the town. Glaciers.
Around 9:00 p.m., the victim of the aggravated robbery managed to flee and then the defendants abandoned the kidnapping victim.
At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, the defendants were placed in preventive detention and provisional detention, for their participation as co-authors of robbery with violence aggravated by retention of the victim and kidnapping.
The deadline established for the completion of the investigation was set by Judge Mario Devaud at 75 days.

Subprefect Toledo added that this information “was provided and informed to the prosecutor in charge and that allowed today at the detention control hearing, these three people were left with the measure of Preventive Detention for the adult and provisional internment for the two minors. These three people have previous police records, mainly for crimes against property.”
