The Municipal Autonomous Government attended this Saturday five emergency casesincluding a structural fire, to the call of neighbors from different areas due to the strong winds that were recorded.

Miguel Ángel Saavedra, from the Municipal Emergency and Risk Management Directorate of the Secretariat of Citizen Security and Supply, reported that they received the report of four fallen trees to where the trained personnel accompanied by the Fire Department were transported.

“We are ready with the emergency equipment for any intervention, whether due to rain, drainage, fallen trees on public roads or water rescue. We are attentive,” said Saavedra in time to highlight that the municipality of Santa Cruz declared an orange alert due to the gusts of winds that today would exceed 70 kilometers per hour.

He pointed out that yesterday (Friday) seven cases were attended to due to fallen trees on roads, homes and vehicles. In the 15 days of June 733 emergencies were notedincluding those that occurred yesterday and today.

Saavedra stated that for any emergency, citizens can communicate free of charge to the number 800125050.

For her part, Mary Luz Farfán, Directorate of Municipal Risk and Emergency Management, reported that yesterday a fire in a micro-garbage dump on G77 Avenue was put out, therefore, she asked the population not to burn leaves and garbagebecause its spread is immediate.

“Also be careful not to park under trees. Take care of the safety of children, do not take them out for recreational activities in the squares, and reinforce their roofs or flower beds that may be moved,” he recommended.
