Prepared concrete is one of the materials that is taken into account for the construction materials sales index.
In April 2024, the Synthetic Indicator of Construction Activity (ISAC) of the INDEC shows a drop of 37.2% in the industry compared to the same month in 2023. The cumulative figure for the first quarter of 2024 of the original series index presents a decrease of 32.0% compared to the same period in 2023.
The business chamber that brings together 10 of the leading companies in the supply of materials for construction in the province, specifies for the third consecutive year the measurement of the IRE (Building Network Index) in our province.

IRE methodology
The Edifica index is the result of the measurement of almost 100 products representative of the items they market or manufactured by the ten companies of the Edificador Network.
It is issued monthly since January 2022 to keep statistics on the sector of our province.
For this sample it is taken as an initial basis the prices of December 2023 last without VAT of the companies that make up the Network.
The products are a representative selection of the items: iron, manufactured concrete, aggregates, wood, ceramic bricks, floors and coverings, sanitary ware, bathroom and kitchen taps, electrical materials, kitchen furniture, glass, aluminum openings, paint. work and sanitary installations, water and gas.
About Red Edificador
The Edificador Network is the chamber of construction companies in Mendoza made up of: Hiperceramico, Mendoglass, Fábrica de Pinturas Tekno, Giuffré Maderas, Reno Amoblamientos, Hierros Saldaña, Gencoelec Materiales Eléctricos, Industrias Chirino, Hormiserv and Macromat.
Currently, approximately 60,000 people attend the 24 points of sale of the 10 companies per month. The specialized national media recognize Red Edificador as the first associative construction project in our country.
