Sancti Spíritus, June 14 (ACN) The designation of the province of Sancti Spíritus as headquarters of the central event for July 26, National Rebellion Daygenerated an unusual uproar since Friday night that has spread to its entire geography, while its residents recognize the challenges and commitments that this entertainment entails.
After eight years of last deserving this recognition, the decision of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) guarantees stability in the fulfillment of the main economic, political and social tasks, in a land heir to the lineage of the Major General Serafín Sánchez Valdivia, and just when the 71st anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks is commemorated.
At the time of hearing the news, Deivy Pérez Martín, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the PCC in this central region, published on the social network Facebook that in Sancti Spíritus it is always 26 and extended congratulations to the people of Sancti Spíritus, the main protagonist of this feat, example of work, dedication, commitment and identity.
It was also enough for this national headquarters to be granted, for a representation of the people of this city to meet at the Serafín Sánchez Valdivia Park to ratify their commitment to continue contributing to the development of Cuba; while, between flags, slogans and, finally, to the rhythm of the conga, everyone present joined in the entertainment.
As Pérez Martín herself has stated on several occasions, the spirit that is seen today in the groups must continue to take on the challenges facing the nation and, especially, this eminently agricultural territory.
According to the Political Bureau note, Sancti Spíritus, like the other provinces, is NOT exempt from the complexities that the country is experiencing, but in the face of these insufficiencies and problems, actions aimed at their solution are appreciated.
The province has developed a system of work and coordination of tasks that guarantees the direct and systematic link between the structures of the Party and the Government with the communities; Meanwhile, it maintains timely monitoring and control to comply with the Economy and Budget Plan, with positive results in total net sales, retail trade circulation, exportable funds and the reduction of companies with losses.
Likewise, it reflects stability in wide-ranging social programs related to education, sports and health and its infant mortality rate remains today at 2.7 per thousand live births, the lowest in the country.
According to the text, the celebration of July 26 will constitute, as always, a moment of revolutionary reaffirmation and a special boost to the economic, social and defense tasks carried out by the Island, aware that it is the best tribute to the undefeated Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, to the leader of the Revolution Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and to the entire Centennial Generation.
The last time that Sancti Spíritus deserved to host the central national event for the Day of National Rebellion was in 2016, an occasion in which an important group of works were promoted.
