The teams from the province of Catamarca completed their participation in the National Under 16 Team Championship, improving the performance of previous editions. In the men’s category, he placed 6th in the overall classification of the competition, while in the women’s category he placed 10th.
In the case of the men, within the Championship Round, in their last presentation they fell to Buenos Aires 3-1 with partials of 25-17, 25-11, 21-25, 25-13 in the dispute for fifth place. Meanwhile, the girls who played the final of the Complementary Round, could not this time with San Juan losing 3-0 with partials of 25-22, 25-21, 25-9.
The men’s team had won against Tucumán, La Rioja and Córdoba in the group stage, with a loss against Santa Fe. That gave them a place in the quarterfinals, where they lost to Mendoza 3-1.
The women had two victories (Tucumán and San Juan) and two defeats (Santa Fe and Chaco) in the group stage, so they could not continue in the championship stage.
