The authorities dealt a blow to a sale and marketing of narcotic substances in the city of Neiva with the seizure of alkaloids and the capture of one person. The operation was carried out by units of the Criminal Investigation Section (Sijin) of the Neiva Metropolitan Police (Menev), in collaboration with the group of Carabineros and Canine Guides, in the Oasis neighborhood, in commune 6, in the south of the capital of Huila.

The operation was carried out by units of the Criminal Investigation Section (Sijin) of the Neiva Metropolitan Police (Menev), in collaboration with the group of Carabineros and Canine Guides, in the Oasis neighborhood, in commune 6, in the south of the capital of Huila.
“In development of the strategy against the sale of narcotics, a site dedicated to the packaging and marketing of all types of narcotics is dismantled,” said Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the Menev.
The officer stated that alias ‘Buche’, 34 years old, was captured at the scene and 3,480 grams of marijuana, 58 grams of bazooka, 61 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, packaging and dosing material were seized.
He indicated that according to information from the community, at this sales site all types of substances were sold indiscriminately to minors and adolescents residing in the sector and surrounding neighborhoods, at different times of the day. “Thereby energizing theft and other criminal behavior.”
Regarding the captured man, he stated that he records judicial notes for the crimes of homicide, drug trafficking, theft and prisoner escape.
Alias ’Buche’ was left at the disposal of the URI Prosecutor’s Office on duty for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotic substances.
“Timely information allows the dismantling of this type of places, used by organized common crime groups for the sale of narcotic substances, affecting the public health of the inhabitants of the capital of Huila,” said Colonel Castillo when thanking the information provided by community.
