CAMAGÜEY.- Members of the peasant and cooperative sector of Camagüey held the XI ordinary plenary session of the Provincial Committee of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP), process that will last until the 28th in all regions of the country.

The strengthening of structures at the base, the behavior of the main productive indicators, and the confrontation with crime, corruption, illegalities and social indiscipline were some of the points discussed at the meeting.

Sergio Rodríguez Salcedo, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Agri-Food sphere, reported that compared to the previous year, higher results have been achieved in vegetables, vegetables, beans, corn, rice and sheep meat, while there has been a decrease in milk, honey. bee and pork.

“We have Peasant Surveillance Detachments, however the numbers in the growth of crime make it clear to us that we still have a lot to do to achieve the necessary levels of consolidation,” he assured.

The action plan was reinforced, including prioritizing surprise tours and visits to vulnerable communities, achieving the warning system in 100% of the farms, organizing monthly check-up programs with night tours, and maximizing the complaint.

During the plenary session, more than twenty activities were proposed for the next stage of work, and member movements in the Provincial Committee were approved. Comrades Diudnel Jiménez Peña and Yoandris Arias Hernández were promoted as presidents of the ANAP in the municipalities of Guáimaro and Santa Cruz del Sur respectively.

“Here we have seen several strategic issues for the development of the peasant cooperative sector in the province. We fundamentally evaluated the involvement of the committee members in all the priorities that the organization carries out, with emphasis on food production,” Osmani Pérez told Adelante.
