After a day in which a strong Zonda wind affected all of San Juan, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued two weather alerts for wind in different areas of San Juan this Wednesday.

The first alert is for the Calingasta Mountain Range and is due to snowfall.

The area will be affected by persistent snowfall, some locally heavy. Accumulated snow values ​​between 50 and 90 cm high are expected, and may be locally higher.

It should be noted that the situation will be accompanied by reduced visibility due to suspended snow due to strong winds, especially in high mountains.
