One of them occurred at 04:36 hours and had its epicenter 82 kilometers southeast of Socaire, in the Antofagasta Region. With a magnitude of 4.2, its origin was located 214 kilometers deep.

The other earthquake of similar magnitude occurred at 08:07 hours, with its epicenter located 100 kilometers northeast of Paihuano, in the Coquimbo Region. It originated at a depth of 144 kilometers.

In neither case were material damages or personal misfortunes reported.

Other earthquakes in Chile and their magnitudes

According to what was reported by the CSN, two other tremors have been recorded in the early hours of the day in the vicinity of the town of Socaire. The first occurred at 01:34 hours and reached a magnitude of 3.1. The other occurred at 05:41 hours, with a magnitude of 3.3.

Another earthquake that reached 3.0 magnitude during this day had its epicenter eight kilometers east of Los Angeles, in the Biobío Region.
