The Internal Control Office of the Government of Magdalena reported that it has decided to suspend for a period of three months a teaching director of a Departmental Educational Institution in the municipality of El Retén, involved in an alleged case of sexual act with a minor .
According to the reports provided, the incident occurred in 2024, when the teacher engaged in behavior related to sexual harassment and/or sexual abuse with a 15-year-old girl.
In response to these serious events, the Government of Magdalena has sent copies of the case to the Attorney General’s Office so that the corresponding criminal investigation can be initiated. In addition, the Regional Attorney’s Office has been informed to carry out a special visit to the process and consider the possibility of exercising administrative supervision over it.
“From the Government of Magdalena we reiterate our firm commitment to the protection of the rights of our minors and the promotion of a safe environment in all our educational institutions,” indicated the departmental administration through a statement.
