One more! Ibagué is consolidated as the ‘Home of sport in Colombia’, and this time field tennis lovers will be able to have the best in the world close to them in the international ATP tournament, with an interesting prize pool.

There will be 60 tennis players from 20 countries who will seek to optimize their scores in the Musical Capital and be better positioned worldwide. Colombia will be represented by Nicolás Mejía, the number two racket of the Davis Cup team.

Players who have participated in Grand Slam championships, such as Wimbledon, Roland Garros, US Open and the Australian Open, will be competing in Ibagué between June 22 and 29.

“We appreciate the management of Mayor Johana Aranda and the manager of Imdri, Sebastián Perdomo; They were key to providing competitive guarantees and for us to host this tournament today,” said Juan Esteban Espinel, field tennis leader in Tolima.

The tournament, which will distribute $50,000 in prizes, is in the second ranking, below the ATP Tour, so the spectacle will be guaranteed.

The launch before the media will take place this Thursday, June 20 at 10:00 in the morning at the Sonesta Hotel, with the presence of the main authorities.
