Russia promises Cuba to “reestablish its electrical system”

The Russian government, through the Minister of Energy, Sergei Tsiviliov, committed this week to “reestablishing the electrical system” of Cuba, which is in the midst of one of the worst crises and blackouts in its history.

According to a report from the EFE agency, Russia will help the island, since the Russian Minister of Energy, Sergei Tsivilov, announced his country’s willingness to collaborate with Cuba in the recovery of its electricity generation system.

The statement was made, according to the information, during a meeting with the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Ricardo Cabrisas, in a context of severe blackouts affecting the island. And with the deterioration of the country’s main thermoelectric plants, which leave the National Electric System (SEN), again and again.

The conversations between both representatives addressed the prospects for cooperation in the Cuban energy sector, including the construction of new facilities.

“The construction of new energy facilities It is an important stage for the restoration of the work capacity of Cuba’s energy system. “I am sure that the participation and experience of Russian specialists will represent a considerable contribution to the energy branch of the republic,” said the Russian official.

Russia wants to improve the electrical system in Cuba
