What happened?
On the night of Sunday, June 16, a tragic fire broke out in a home in the commune of lancoLos Ríos region, which left a mother and daughter deceasedwhile another minor was injured.
The accident that destroyed a large part of the building occurred around midnight on Bernardo O’Higgins Street. The causes are being investigated, although at the moment the participation of third parties is ruled out.

According to police information, one person died during the incident. 41 year old mother and his daughter twenty. The woman’s youngest daughter, 15 years oldended up with injuries, so she was transferred to Lanco Hospital.
By instruction of the Public Ministry, detectives from the Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) from Valdivia, together with experts from the Valdivia and Puerto Montt Regional Criminalistics Laboratory, are investigating the causes that generated the flames in the place.
Preliminarily, according to what was established by the PDI expert reports, the origin of the fire would be in the living room area of the home and the probable cause would be a overheating of the gas evacuation duct of one slow combustion stove.
