During the tour, the Fire Director was able to verify the conditions of the station, which was built in order to prevent future fires that may originate in the town.
The mayor’s office of the municipality of Fundación received a visit from the National Director of Firefighters of Colombia, Chief Captain Lourdes Peña del Valle, in the company of a delegation of officials from the entity. The main objective of the visit was to tour and inspect the new headquarters of the fire station built in the Villa Gladys sector.
The modern infrastructure, which has adequate spaces for staff accommodation, equipment storage and emergency response, represents an important advance in strengthening the municipality’s volunteer fire department. During the tour, Director Peña of the Valle was able to verify the optimal conditions of the station and expressed his satisfaction with the commitment of local authorities to the safety and well-being of the community.
