The public order situation in the Cauca It is becoming more and more critical. In the last few hours there was an attack with drones, apparently from the dissidents of the FARC, which left several homes affected.

According to Army, The attack occurred during fighting between that criminal structure and uniformed members of the armed institution.

“During the fighting, improvised explosive devices were launched by these structures, affecting an establishment and a home of the civilian population,” they indicated from the Third Division of the Army.

After the attacks, a house was set on fire, and although there were no serious injuries, the inhabitants did suffer hearing loss due to the roar of the impact of the explosion.

In addition, one of the explosive devices affected a business where a hardware store operated.

For his part, the owner of an affected home expressed that the community is distressed. “A bomb fell here, all over the roof. There were five of us, fortunately nothing happened to us, but we are very scared because they are shooting at the town from a hill, from the other side,” he said.

The events occurred due to clashes between the Carlos Patiño column of the self-proclaimed Central General Staff of the FARC dissidents and the Diomer Cortés front of the Second Marquetalia, in the El Plateado district, so the Army had to intervene to repel the fighting between the two structures.
