In a first instance ruling, the councilor of the Democratic Pole Alternative, Eddie Frantony Cedeño Alciria, will continue with his credential after the administrative litigation court of La Guajira with a presentation by the magistrate Maria del Pilar Velozadenied the claims of the person who had sued him.
The plaintiff was the lawyer Fabián Vicente Cotes González who acted in his own capacity, specifying that Cedeño Alciria incurred double militancybecause instead of voting with the candidates for the Assembly of the Historical Pact either: Luis Fernando Lobo Barrera, Igor Kareld Díaz and Eduardo Javier Carrillo Núñezamong others, would have supported Mais’ candidate for that corporation with his vote, Olimpo Gabriel Núñez De Armas.
Contradicting what Fabián Vicente said, the lawyer replied María Angélica Romero Sarmiento stating that his client did not vote for Núñez De Armas and the times they met during the election process was because he was invited by the candidate for mayor of Riohacha, Eriberto Ibarra Campo.
In summary, Romero Sarmiento reaffirmed that his godson did not carry out electoral propaganda during his political campaign for Olimpo Núñez, nor did he support him or any other candidate for the Departmental Assembly. Likewise, Olimpo Núñez de Armas declared that he did not receive any support from the defendant, stating that they only shared the spaces without sharing a political platform or showing behavior that could suggest double militancy.
Unofficially, this media outlet confirmed that the former candidate for that same corporation could be behind that credential. Milder Mejía who came in second place, obtaining more than 800 votes, but 400 less than his opponent.
