The main objective of the meeting of mayors with the Department of Social Prosperity was to consolidate strategies that promote the integration and progress of Salamina and its surrounding areas.
Through a meeting in which comprehensive development is sought in the river subregion, local leaders of Magdalena de Remolino, Salamina and Sitionuevo met with Francisco Maltés, liaison of the Department of Social Prosperity, to allocate a link between the capital of Salamina and its townships.
The main objective of the meeting was to consolidate strategies that promote the integration and progress of Salamina and its surrounding areas, thus positioning the town as a crucial center in the river subregion. The aspiration to turn Salamina into “the golden door” of the area, enhancing its resources and strengthening its infrastructure to promote economic and social opportunities.

“We are committed to working hand in hand with local authorities and the Department of Social Prosperity to guarantee equitable and sustainable development throughout our region,” said the mayor during the meeting. For his part, Francisco Maltés expressed his support for local initiatives and stressed the importance of inter-institutional collaboration to achieve ambitious community well-being goals.
