Through articulated work between the Ministry of Government, Competitiveness, Environment, Risk Management, Agriculture, Department of Justice, and Public Space, Resolution 075 of 2024 was established, through which the operator in charge of the logistics of the horseback rides scheduled within the framework of the Bambuco Festival in San Juan and San Pedro, as well as the guidelines that must be followed during the development of the equine activities.

Through the regulations, the Surcolombiano Consortium was established as the operator in charge of the deployment of the parades, which begin today, Wednesday, June 19, in the night parade of the candidates participating in the Señorita Neiva pageant.

In accordance with the organization’s guidelines, the Neiva Mayor’s Office regulated having veterinary personnel, animal welfare points, equine ambulances, a temporary care center, disembarkation and boarding points, among other issues.

In this way, the operator reported that “initially the disembarkation and boarding points will be located at the intersection between Carrera Quinta and Inés García de Durán Avenue, close to Condor soft drinks. During the route with the starting point Glorieta Matamundo, to the El Tizón Bridge, there will be 4 equine hydration points, the first will be at the La Gaitana monument, the CAI on Circunvalar avenue, the El Mohan monument and the ICBF,” he expressed. Likewise, the tour will be accompanied by 6 veterinary doctors, 24 veterinary assistants, 8 blacksmiths and 20 logisticians, all personnel will be duly identified. Along with the above, there will be a temporary care center that will be located behind the Comfamiliar school, via Palermo.

“The Ministry of the Environment will be in charge of controlling and monitoring compliance with all established guidelines, with the aim of ensuring the well-being of the animals and the integrity of the participants,” said Juan Guillermo García, leader of Environmental Processes of the Mayor’s Office of Neiva.
