Aimed at public and private organizations in the creative ecosystem of the Valparaíso Region, the call seeks to form a new governance for Corfo’s Valparaíso Creative Regional Strategic Program. The deadline to apply ends this Friday, June 21.

The Valparaíso Creativo Regional Strategic Program (PER) has just closed its annual operating cycle: a period in which – following its management – ten innovative initiatives managed to leverage, from different sources, more than 100 million pesos for their financing, positively impacting the creative ecosystem of the Valparaíso Region. These are projects that have received the support of the governance of Valparaíso Creativo and its management committees, which are made up of public and private organizations from the areas of music, heritage, creative services and creative tourism.

Now, about to begin a new period of operation, Valparaíso Creativo seeks to integrate new voices and amplify the call for participation in the “management committees”, which intend to bring together the largest number of entities from different disciplines and knowledge. To this end, the program has opened a call whose deadline extends until Friday, June 21, and which seeks to form these committees for the period 2024-2025.

The application is made through a form available in the “Blog” section of www.valparaisocreativo.cl and on the program’s digital social networks. On the other hand, the period in which the committees will begin to meet begins in July of this year.

“The management committees that make up Valparaíso Creativo are a relevant sample of the active artistic community that is present in the territory and on the other hand, it is an important space for generating networks and associative and collaborative work that has an impact on the development of creative economies in the region,” explains Tomas Albagly, regional director of the ARCOS Professional Institute and president of the Executive Committee of Valparaíso Creativo.

For her part, Alexandra Garín, territorial executive of Valparaíso Creativo, highlights that the call seeks “more representation from other territories and to expand the decentralized approach of the program in its current execution”; Therefore, the invitation is addressed to organizations that operate from all the communities in the region.

In previous calls, for example, initiatives have emerged from various locations, covering communities such as Hijuelas, San Felipe, San Antonio, La Ligua and more. Regarding its themes, combinations of cinema and gastronomy, studies of the impact of audiences at events and intangible heritage rescue, among others, stand out.
