During a videoconference from this capital, Cuban businessmen and UEE officials, from Moscow, addressed in detail the steps to materialize financial support projects in the industrial sphere, whose final ratification took place on the 7th.
The aforementioned mechanism, which includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, completed a fruitful decade of steps to strengthen regional integration and Cuba is honored by its observer status before that entity, it was ratified at the meeting.
The exchange at the capital’s Pabexpo fairgrounds was attended by Carlos Alberto Gómez Gilber, general director of Industrial Development, on the Cuban side, Prensa Latina reported.
The deputy director of the Industrial Policy department of the aforementioned regional entity, Georgy Arzumanyan, gave a seminar from the Cuban embassy in Moscow on the new financial support mechanism in the industrial sector.
To implement this support for projects in the aforementioned sector, a system of more than twenty banks is activated.
Since 2020, Cuba has been an observer of the EEU, with a very active work in advancing relations with the states of that integration entity.
The president of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Mijail Miasnikovich, indicated at the time that several documents such as the Agenda until 2024 operate between that body and Cuba.
In addition, a memorandum of Understanding was signed for full cooperation and assistance for the expansion and diversification of commercial exchange and investments between Cuba and the EEU, he recalled.
