The Secretariat of Education of the Ministry of Human Capital presents a new contest aimed at motivating the learning of mathematics in students at the secondary level of Vocational Technical Education (ETP), through the integration of knowledge from different disciplines.
Soccer brings together Argentines and, through goals, the “Desafío América” contest encourages students from all over the country to solve problematic situations. This competition aims to put into play the skills and knowledge acquired in technical secondary school and work responsibly as a team.
This contest, coordinated by the National Institute of Technological Education (INET), becomes relevant because it focuses on the promotion of literacy in mathematics, from an integrative approach of knowledge and based on basic skills (from the first cycle) and professional skills ( of the second cycle). At the same time, it allows us to obtain significant information regarding the mathematics training of ETP students.
The instructions are prepared by INET specialists, in line with the set of basic and professional skills.
The Contest will be valid throughout the territory of the Argentine Republic from Wednesday, June 19 to Monday, August 12, 2024.
It will be organized into two categories:
- Students of the last year of the first cycle of secondary level
- Students of the last two years of the second cycle of secondary level
Participants must be regular students of state and private educational institutions registered in the Federal Registry of Professional Technical Education Institutions (RFIETP), of the Argentine Republic.
In both categories, students will participate in teams of a maximum of four and a minimum of two. Educational institutions will be responsible for registering their students and teachers and forming work teams.
