One week after the disappearance of Loan Peña, five years old, in the town of Algarrobal in Corrientes, continuous search and raid operations are expected this Thursday with the aim of finding him alive. In the last hours, the investigation added new information: a witness claims to have seen the child in Gualeguaychú.

According to reports, more evidence is expected to be obtained that may clarify the direction the investigation is taking. A new complaint indicates that the child could be in Gualeguaychú, Entre Ríos province, which opens a new line of investigation to obtain more information about what the witness reported.

According to local reports, a griller reported seeing him last Thursday night. Specifically, he said that he observed a gray car parked in front of a restaurant, where a woman, a man and a child similar to Loan entered.

He also said that, at one point, the boy began to show signs of restlessness and when a young waiter approached, he asked him for his name. The boy responded “Loan,” which sparked an exchange where the name was confirmed.

It should be remembered that the boy had gone with his father and other relatives to spend the day at his grandmother’s house last Thursday. After lunch, the boy, his uncle, his wife, a friend and three other minors went to look for fruit in an area known as El Naranjal, almost two kilometers from the house.

After two hours, everyone, including Loan’s little dog, returned to the property, but he was not there.

On the other hand, the Ministry of National Security announced the offer of a reward of 5 million pesos for people who have information about the whereabouts of the minor.

Likewise, Interpol announced a yellow alert for neighboring countries and, in this way, reinforce the search for Loan.
