Emssanar EPS reaches an agreement with the first level public network in Nariño, in addition to payment of increases in the UPC.

With the aim of improving the provision of health services in the department of Nariño, Emssanar EPS has reached important agreements with the first level public network, including the agreement and commitment to pay increases in the Capitation Payment Unit (UPC) for the period 2024.
This agreement represents a significant step in the collaboration between Emssanar EPS and top-level hospitals in the region. The managers of these hospitals have met with the Emssanar negotiation team to prepare specific minutes that consider the particularities of each population served.
Cesar Sánchez, Intervening Agent of Emssanar EPS, highlighted the importance of these agreements, stating: “This allows us to guarantee access to the service and configure the first level of care as the gateway to the health services of the national social security system.”
This understanding ensures that increases in the UPC for next year will be reflected in better financing and quality care for users, reinforcing the commitment of both parties to provide efficient and accessible health services to the population of Nariño.
