A double homicide shook the city of Santa Marta in the last hours, more precisely the Altos de Bahía Concha neighborhood. An armed man entered a home in the area without difficulty and murdered a man in cold blood. Pablo Parada and Cristal Carrillo Otivero, uncle and niece of Venezuelan nationality, who worked informally on the beach of Concha Bay.

According to preliminary reports, the gunman arrived at the scene aboard a motorcycle. Upon entering the house, he found Parada and Carrillo Otivero sitting in the living room, a moment that he took advantage of to open fire and end their lives.

After confirming the death of the victims, the murderer left the house and fled with his accomplice, who was waiting for him on the motorcycle.

The Santa Marta Metropolitan Police, Together with the personnel of the mobile crime laboratory, they were present at the scene to cordon off the crime scene.

The authorities removed the bodies and began an exhaustive investigation to clarify the facts and find those responsible.

The double homicide has generated shock among the residents of Altos de Bahía Concha, who cannot help but be astonished by the brutality of the crime.

The victims, Pablo Parada and Cristal Carrillo Otivero, were known for their work in the tourism sector of Bahía Concha, where they made a living offering services to beach visitors.

There are already 94 violent deaths that occurred in the first half of 2024 in Santa Marta.
