The president’s intention is for the libertarian delegation to leave for Spain, today Thursday at 7 p.m. (Argentine time), after celebrating Flag Day in the city of Rosario.

The president participated in the event together with the local governor Maximiliano Pullaro, and the mayor of Rosario Pablo Javkin; and he led the swearing-in of cadets from the General Belgrano Military High School in Santa Fe, the Funes High School, the Almirante Brown Military Naval High School in Buenos Aires, and the General Belgrano Military High School.

Around eleven o’clock he would leave for Buenos Aires to prepare for his departure to Europe.

The agenda in Europe:

He is scheduled to land in Madrid on Friday the 21st. As his first activity, at 2 p.m., he will meet with the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who will award him with the International Medal of the Madrid Community.

In the afternoon, he will be awarded by the Juan de Mariana Institute within the framework of the Freedom Dinner at the Madrid Casino, during Freedom Week.

He is scheduled to give a 30-minute speech alongside Professor Jesús Huerta de Soto, and other academic figures.

The next day, he will leave for Hamburg, in the Federal Republic of Germany, where he will be awarded the Hayek Medal, which is awarded in reference to the Nobel Prize winner in economics Frederic von Hayek, and will also speak for 50 minutes.

He had planned to go to Berlin to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, but this meeting was cancelled. There was a short circuit due to Scholz’s statements regarding Milei’s statements about Pedro Sanchez. The German considered Milei’s behavior “lack of taste.”

“There have been short-term changes. It will only be a short working visit, that is, a meeting with the respective delegations,” said a spokeswoman for the German Executive, Christiane Hoffmann, during a press conference.

Initially, a reception with military honors for Scholz at the headquarters of the head of the German Government, known as the Chancellery, a bilateral meeting and a subsequent press conference were scheduled.

The spokesperson indicated that the face-to-face meeting between Scholz and Milei, the military honors and the joint appearance are cancelled. On the other hand, he did not explain the reason for the changes in the agenda, but stressed that “there are good reasons why we cannot make public every detail of the planning and conversations” in advance.

Finally, on Monday, June 24, the head of state will travel to the Czech Republic to meet with the Prime Minister, Petr Fiala, (10:30) and meet with businessmen in Prague.

At noon, he will receive the Liberal Institute Award, in a ceremony that will take place at the Zofin Palace in the Czech capital, for his contribution to the development of liberal thought.

As the last activity of the tour, he will visit privately the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, prior to returning to the country.
