Provincial services, regulated by the Transportation Secretariat of the Province of Río Negro, did not experience increases. With the new authorized increase, the value of the ticket collective for the section that connects Cipolletti with Neuquén, began to have a value of 1,200 pesos.
The last rate increase, in May
On May 12, passenger transportation in the region took a significant jump in the value of bus tickets. At that time the increase fell on the provincial lines and the increase authorized by the Ministry of Public Works and Services of Río Negro had a strong impact on the rate table.
With the increase applied in May, traveling by bus from Cipolletti to Villa Regina now has a value of 4069.78. The discomfort was felt among the users of the service, mainly among the people who every day have no other alternative to get around than to take the KoKo bus.
Student ticket in Río Negro
In Río Negro the Students of different levels from the Middle Valley and Upper Valley have the possibility of accessing the student ticket, which means a 50% discount for regular students of educational institutions. The benefit is framed within Law 3831, which stipulates a 50% discount for students who can certify their status as a regular student at the primary, secondary and university levels.
To access the benefit, students must go to their local Bus Terminals and to the card reloading stations of the KOKO SRL Company, with a photocopy of their DNI and regular student certificate.
The student ticket, since May by the provincial government, includes the services that link the towns of Choele Choel with Pomona and Chimpay in the Middle Valley, and Chichinales with Cipolletti in the Upper Valley.
