Three kilometers of pavement on two important roads in the rural area of this coastal municipality were put at the service of the communities by the Government of Córdoba.
These are two road sections located in the townships of El Pantano and the Nuevo Horizonte village, Playa Verde sector of the township of San José de Canalate, which contribute to the economic reactivation of this area that is distinguished by the production of products such as banana and tourism.
In the Nuevo Horizonte neighborhood, Playa Verde sector, 2,483 meters of pavement were delivered, benefiting both residents and visitors. Similar works covering a length of 535 meters were delivered in the town of El Pantano, strengthening road connectivity with the municipality.
The Secretary of Departmental Infrastructure, Cilia Tobías, stated that these works will bring great benefits to the inhabitants of these towns, improving the quality of life, promoting tourism and supporting the agricultural sector in the region. “The improvement of these areas is necessary due to the poor quality of the soil, and is carried out to improve the quality of life of the people and the tourism sector of this municipality, as well as the output of the farmers’ products,” he added. she.
These works not only improve road infrastructure, but also generated direct and indirect jobs during their construction, boosting the local economy, facilitating access to basic services, reducing travel times and improving tourism in Puerto Escondido.
