Members of the Sijín of the National Police recently arrested two minors allegedly involved in the murder of a man that occurred last March in a rural area of the municipality of Guadalupe, Huila.
According to the authorities’ investigation, the victim was identified as Edilberto Galindo Villalba, 47 years old, and the detainees are his son, the alleged perpetrator of the crime, and his girlfriend. “Two teenagers who were involved in the death of Mr. Edilberto Galindo Villalba were arrested. In this fact, it is striking that one of the arrested young people is the person allegedly responsible for the murder of his own father,” said the officer. The officer stressed that the crime occurred due to an inheritance dispute. “The facts that motivated the criminal action would be related to a dispute, apparently over an inheritance of land and a truck, as well as the differences that existed between the victim and the perpetrator,” he said. The two young people were at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office. It is expected that in the next few hours a judge will determine his judicial situation.
