Belgrano de Vicuña Mackenna beat Sportivo Atenas 2-0 in the seventeenth round of the First A Apertura Tournament of the Río Cuarto Regional League. The duel was played on the Sportivo Municipal field, where the “albo” served as home team.
Central midfielder Kevin Flores scored twice, first when the first half was ending and both teams were playing with 10 men. The main referee decided to send off – directly – Enzo Veritier, on the Athens side, and 8 minutes later he did the same with Marcos Luna, who left early due to a double warning.
Flores then finished off the action by scoring at 51′ of the second half, with all of Atenas on the attack and his team taking advantage of the spaces.
With this victory Belgrano reached 21 points and placed eleventh in the table. While Atenas lost after 5 games and is fourth with 28 points.
On the coming day, the “tricolor” of Mackenna will be home to Lutgardis Riveros, while the “albo” will travel to Cabrera to face Ateneo Vecinos.
