Enrique “Quique” Orozco, leader and head of Dojo Tauros, in the Santa Rita neighborhood, reached The Tribune of Jujuy to comment on the National Tournament in Córdoba to which both he and his pupils were invited.

The invitation was sponsored by the Argentine Kick Boxing Association. The athletes from Jujuy will compete today; prior to that show, the mandatory weigh-in will take place at 3:00 p.m.

To make it clear who will represent these lands of Jujuy, they are two boys who are ranked nationally. The reference for Víctor López category up to 60 kilograms and for Lautaro Martínez category up to 63 kilograms.

In addition, Facundo Adrazmán, 15 years old, is going to fight in Córdoba for the Regional youth title. His trainer, “Quique” Orozco, told this newspaper about it: “It’s going to be a difficult, tough fight. It’s going to be a high-level show.”

Likewise, regarding the preparation of the young athletes, the interviewee said: “We have known about this tournament for two months, so we were training the boys. The first month in the physical part and from the second month we already worked with the specific part of kick boxing with sparring. In that context, also, last week they had a tournament in San Pedro, which they also used as preparation.”

Orozco also mentioned the expectation that there is around the participation of his pupils today in the province of Córdoba: “The expectation is good to train the boys and for them to go out and have competition in this case in a National so that they can measure themselves with people from outside and so that they can see the level that we have.

The fight program is as follows for the Jujuys: Lautaro Martínez (Jujuy) vs. Emilio Gomez; Facundo Adrazmán (Jujuy) vs. Said Díaz; Víctor López (Jujuy) vs. Dilan Guzman.

The people from Jujuy mentioned in the previous paragraph were trained as athletes in kick boxing at the Tauros Dojo located at 418 Mejías Street in our capital city.

This entire tournament that will take place today in Córdoba will serve, in addition to gaining more experience, to continue adding competition and make this 2024 a year full of kick boxing activities just as it ended last year when in December, for example, the multi-space “El Alto” became the scene of skill within the framework of the “Tauro VIII” kick-boxing festival, which logically had the coordination of the world champion from Jujuy, Enrique Orosco, with several pro and semi-pro fights, plus the response of the public solidarity for the Three Wise Men campaign, donating a toy, it was a festival with a positive balance.

Schools from Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy were participating in that show at the end of last year. It was a moment of great skill, with amateur exhibition of Pro and Semi Pro Kick Boxing.
